The biggest international soccer championship is World Cup that’s held by Fédération Internationale de Football Association. World Cup is held one time for four years. More than 190 national teams are matched in regional tournament qualification for a quota in final round.

- South America: Copa America
- Africa: African Cup

The biggest club championship in Europe is Championship League, while in South America is Copa Libertadores. In Asia, Asian Championship League is the biggest.

Soccer have been played in Olympiad since 1900(except in Los Angeles’ Olympiad 1932). At first it just for amateur players, but since 1984 professional players has also begun to play with rule that prohibit many nations to play their best teams.
